The Italian Invitational Golf Tournament for Charities

On Friday evening, the weekend of the tournament, you are warmly welcomed to our ice breaker. Make sure you come with an appetite, because you will enjoy meeting old and new friends and sharing with them and Italian Buffet, to die for. The foods are specially prepared for the tournament by the tournaments own Italian Chefs, and the quality is supurb! And, you will be able to enjoy your favorite beverages with an open bar. The Ice Breaker begins at 6:00pm and ends whey you say "Mamma Mia!"
Saturday morning, registration will begin at the tournament tent at 6:30am sharp. Each golfer will reginter and receive a premium gift, as a raffle ticket for the Saturday night drawing for a wonderful vacation for two. (Location to be announced)
Danish, Bloody-mary's and screwdrivers will be served at the registration, but don't over do it. After registration, there will be a shotgun start. Enjoy eighteen holes of golf on one of the Midwest's premier golf courses, "THE BRUTE." You and the foursome of your choice will play eighteen holes and have the opportunity during the round, to win prices and merchandise at Grand Geneva's fine pro shop, liquor, and if you hit the right shot, a new Buick or Vespa motor scooter. Prizes will be awarded for low nets and gross, long drive and fleecing of your partners.
Lunch will be served after golf and will feature the best meatball sandwiches you have ever had. So, go light at breakfast and stay a little hungry. Enjoy fresh fruit from Milwaukee's markest and our own special hot pizza. Beer and soft drinks will be served, so sit an relax, as you review or reconstruct your score cards.
Before you go to the pool for a suntan or go back to your room for a nap, stop at the putting green and qualify for our annual putting contest. It is very easy to qualify. Sink on 20-foot putt and you will be eligible for a shot at a $2,500.00 putting cash prize, which will be held on the 18th green of the "BRIER PATCH", at the completion of the golf round on Sunday.
So, if you are playing well and putting well, you are going to take your new Buick or Vespa home with $2,500.00 in your pocket for gas. Not a bad deal!
After you qualify for the putting contest, go back to your room and take a nap, or agian, get a tan at the pool. But don't stay too long, because you are going put on your suit and tie so you can join us for a cocktail party at 5:30p.m. in front of our banquet hall.
While at the party, you are going to be able to leisurely review the unique gifts on display for our silent auction. At 6:15p.m. sharp our dinner and program will begin. If you have a table preference of ten people or less, we will keep your party together for a very special program and dinner. There will be a drawing for another excellent vacation and a live auction will take place for many very unique prizes. You will then, have the opportunity to feast on and Italian Buffet, second to none. Once again our own chefs, from Milwaukeee, will specially prepare this food exclusively for the Italian Golf Tournament. Take your time, try it all. It is spectacular! But, be sure not to wear tight pants.
During dinner, you're invited to browse through our silent auction and bid on items of your choice. Remember; bid often, because all of this is for charity. Find some incredible deals, and know they are there, if you look. Also, keep in mind that Christmas is only four month away. This is a very good oppoutunity to get some very unique gifts while at the same time you will be giving to very needy charities.
Beside the food and wine, complimentary cigars, hand made exclusively for the Tournament, will be available for your pleasure. While you are enjoying the food and wine, we are going to introduce and present our Honoree, and then, we will open our famous Italian Sweets Table, which has always been one of the highlights of our weekend program.
On Saturday, you will have been entertained and fed for fourteen hours. And while the night life at Grand Geneva is very exciting, make sure you get some sleep and sleep well, because we are going to see you bright and early Sunday morning for Mass.
Following Mass, there will be a meeting of the Captains, for the Sunday tournament. At dinner Saturday night, you will receive information on how you will be paired for the scramble that occurs on Sunday. The players are randomly divided by a computer by handicap into groups of three, and the scramble will take place on the "HIGHLANDER," which has been recently newly renovated. Remember that it is a scramble, so you are playing a best ball and there are both prizes and money available to the top five teams. Concentrate, because only a stroke and a half separated the first team and the fifth team last year. You can win, if you concentrate!
At the completion of the scramble on Sunday and while the scores are being tabulated, our putting contest for $2,500.00 will take place, while lunch is served at the Pavilion.
On Sunday, the special is the sausage sandwiches with sweet peppers on Italian rolls. I am getting hungry just talking about it. Hopefully, some of that Italian Buffet served on Saturday night will be available to snake on, as well. There will be fresh fruit, beer, soft drinks and following the finish of the round; we will have an awards ceremony in our tent, giving prizes for both the Saturday and Sunday tournament. Around 3:00p.m., we are ready to give everyone a hug, go home and rest up for next year's tournament.
I promise you will have made some great new firends. Playing eighteen holes of golf with someone and working for every stroke can make people very close.
